Welcome to Joy in a Mad World.

The site name reflects my philosophy on life. God is good; joy is internal. Joy is a good gift from a good God and is not dependent on the state of the world or any external circumstances. Everyone has access to joy. Don’t think that I am a naïve Pollyanna, totally in denial of the fact that life is hard and the world can be ugly and knock you down. I have failed and seen pain more times than I thought I could bear. I have also been loved and forgiven by the God of the universe who shows me mercy and grace every day. How can I not be grateful? How can I not have joy? I want you to experience this joy as well. This is why I am determined to discuss things that matter, things that inspire, things that uplift, things that bring joy. If you want to talk about how you can have the peace and joy that only comes from God, we can definitely discuss this over coffee, lunch, or Zoom.
